This page provides an overview of housing and accommodation options available to students at Chung Shan Medical University (CSMU).
Accommodation-related services are administered by the Dormitory Service Center, Office of Student Affairs (OSA).
 

University-Managed Dormitories

CSMU provides university-managed student dormitories to support students’ daily living and campus life.

The main dormitory areas include:

  • Dental Dormitory（口腔宿舍）
  • Daqing Dormitory（大慶宿舍）

I. Dental Dormitory

二、口腔宿舍

The Dental Dormitory is located on the 6th to 12th floors of the Oral Medicine Research Center building and is designated for female students.

Although the building is shared with the College of Oral Medicine, the dormitory area has an independent entrance and elevators, with resident directors and security staff on duty to ensure student safety.

Room Types and Facilities

All rooms have natural lighting, with an average interior space of 25–27 square meters.

Room types include:

  • Triple Suites (bunk beds)
  • Double Suites (flat beds)

Each room is furnished with beds, wardrobes, desks, chairs, bookshelves, internet access, central air-conditioning.

Dormitory fees include basic water and electricity charges.

Public facilities include water dispensers, coin-operated washing and drying machines, and common areas.
 

II. Daqing Dormitory

The Daqing Dormitory is located on Gaogong Road, approximately 1.7 kilometers from campus.
Public buses connect the dormitory and campus, with an estimated travel time of 5–6 minutes.

Room Types and Facilities

Daqing Dormitory is a family-style accommodation, offering rooms for 3–4 students, with shared bathroom facilities.
Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, and room sizes range from approximately 7 to 16 square meters.

Public areas include laundry rooms, dryers, drinking water machines, and shared meal preparation areas with basic appliances.

III. Dormitory Management and Student Safety

Both dormitory areas emphasize the following principles:
 

  • Fire Safety
    Regular inspections and drills; smoking, and high-power electrical appliances are prohibited.
     
  • Security and Student Support
    24-hour security personnel and resident directors provide access control, patrols, and daily life support.

  • Facility Maintenance
    Regular inspection and maintenance of dormitory facilities and equipment.
     
  • Student Activities
    Dormitory activities are organized each semester to promote interaction among residents.
     

IV. Important Notice

  • Dormitory availability and room assignments are subject to official announcements and capacity limitations.
     
  • Submission of a dormitory application does not guarantee accommodation.
     
  • Accommodation policies and fees may be adjusted in accordance with university regulations.
